I just recently posted a blog about my God. This song and the lyrics to this song can tell you more of how awesome my God truly is.
My God
He is amazing to say the least.
There’s no other who can contest.
I love to sit at His table and feast.
Because of Him I am blessed.
His presence is ever-present.
And in Him my soul finds rest.
His love is never-ending.
His grace is never-pending.
He is very faithful.
Comes through every time.
I trust in Him.
Without Him I’m half-blind.
He will never tire.
I praise Him for He is worthy.
As He comes in full attire.
My heart feels as if it’s on fire.
I pray to Him to set me ablaze.
I want something that’s higher.
I want something beyond myself.
It’s Him and Him alone.
My soul yearns, it won’t leave me alone.
With everything I surrender.
He is my King.
I am willing to let Him take everything.
My heart belongs to Him.
It doesn’t belong to sin.
He is clothed in white.
In all of His purity.
He knows how many hairs are on my head.
He thinks of me every moment.
His love spans the universe and beyond.
He is beautiful.
Yeah, His love is a song.
He is the greatest lover.
He sings over me.
He loves me no matter what.
Because of Him I am free.
I meditate on His Word.
He speaks to me.
He saved me from death.
He gave me life in return.
His love is radical.
It has to be shared.
It makes me burn.
It makes me yearn.
For all who don’t know Him.
I pray that they will find Him.
This is just a tittle of who He is.
You shouldn’t be surprised by this.
This is my God.

Reach Records is affiliated with Lecrae and members of 116 Clique. They also founded a ministry called ReachLife that is pretty neat. I think hip hop has been corrupted over the years and many hip hop artists of today aren’t setting a very good example for today’s youth. An individual doesn’t have to look very long at the modern hip hop industry to see that it promotes things such as: drugs, sex, alcohol, etc. Lecrae and his crew called 116 Clique are willing to step up and stand out. They are all about influencing today’s youth in the best ways possible. In fact, Lecrae works with a camp called Kanakuk (A.K.A. KAA [Kids Across America]) in the summers. KAA, a branch of Kanakuk, is about positively influencing kids and teens. I respect Lecrae and what he is doing. He is making a change in hip hop. He is making a change in many things besides hip hop. Lecrae says, “It’s not just music… it’s a movement!” In one of his songs he raps, “I don’t do this for the money, I don’t do this for fame, I don’t do this so those in the industry can know my name, I do this mostly to glorify Yeshua the King…” Lecrae has a passionate heart. I have never met him personally, but I have heard humbling stories and read amazing facebook statuses from him. He is on fire for God, and he wants others to be too. I have heard stories about Lecrae’s concerts. Many times when he is in a certain area for a concert he tries to help out people around that area. He is definitely one of my role-models. To say the least, I am proud to have him as one. His heart is immersed in humility to serve so that people can see Jesus through him. Even if you don’t like the music you must understand that this is far more than just about the music. This is a lifestyle… This is the Gospel… This is life-changing… This is radical.
